Number of People Encountered: 11-25 ppl Recommend to a Friend: Highly Report: A great base camp for all sorts of area activities. Campground is well maintained, clear and safe. If you have not been in this part of the San Juans before, this is a good area to start from.
Number of People Encountered: 11-25 ppl Recommend to a Friend: Highly Report: (17-JUL-01) The camp host was very helpful, the sites were very well-groomed, and the bathrooms/showers were reasonably clean. We arrived at 7pm on a weeknight to find all sites but one taken, so plan to arrive before dinnertime. I would recommend the walk-in tent sites at the end of the loop-- they have a great view of the surrounding peaks.
