General Description

Iron Springs Campground is located on the Uncompahgre Plateau, off the Divide Road (Forest Road 402) at an elevation of 9,600 feet.

Facilities include pit toilets, picnic tables and fire grates. There is no drinking water available at the campground.

Directions from Montrose: Follow the Divide Road, (Old Hwy 90, Forest Road 540) southwest to the campground.

Normal Services Available: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend (NOTE: The campgrounds may be open before and after these dates, but some services may not be provided. Call the local Ranger District for more detailled information.) .
