General Description

Lottis Creek Campground is a good site for anglers, hikers and four-wheel drive enthusiasts. The campground is located on the shores of Lottis Creek and close to the Taylor River. Two miles to the south visitors will find access to the Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area. Hikers and equestrians can enjoy the trails of this pristine natural area. (No mechanized or motorized vehicles are permitted in any Wilderness Area.) To the east of Lottis Creek Campground four-wheel drivers will find a plethora of roads to explore. Cumberland Pass Road provides access to most of these trails.

Directions from Almont: Drive north on Highway 135 from Almont to Taylor Canyon Road (Forest Road 742). Turn right on to Taylor Canyon Road and travel 17.5 miles to Lottis Creek Campground.

Great plave to camp and relax, very little traffic during the week. All road construction is complete in the area and the roads sre great. Fishing in Lottis creek is great for 10'/12' brook. Water Availability: Water is easy access. 125' feet of hose should reach most campsites without moving your camper or RV. Water Availability: Good tasting water, one hose to get it & have to back up with trailers

Lottis Creek - This stream supports rainbow trout, brook trout, brown trout and good fishing.

South Lottis Trail - South Lottis Trail extends north and south, through the Fossil Ridge Wilderness, for ten and a half miles. It leads from the South Lottis Trailhead to the Gold Creek Trailhead.
