Brush Creek Winter Trailhead provides access to the terrain east of Crested Butte mountain. This includes Farris Creek Road, West Brush Creek Road, Brush Creek Road and East Brush Creek Road. Brush Creek Winter Trailhead provides access to the Friends Hut and Pearl Pass, via East Brush Creek Road, 738.2B. Avalanche potential from this site ranges from low to high, increasing at the head of the valley.
Directions from Crested Butte: Travel one and a half miles south of Crested Butte on Highway 135 to Brush Creek Road. Turn left on to Brush Creek Road and travel two miles to the winter closure.

Brush Creek Road #738 - This road is a popular route for off-road vehicles, including mountain bikes, between Aspen and Crested Butte. The road is extremely technical when it nears Pearl Pass.
East Brush Road #738.2B - East Brush Creek forks from Brush Creek eight and a half miles from Highway 135. It leads to the Brush Creek and Block and Tackle Trailhead.
