General Description

The trail leaves East Brush Road traveling east, and climbs to the summit of a ridge, approximately 11,150 feet, where it intersects the Double Top Trail. The trail then descends to Cement Creek Road. This trail provides an excellent access between Brush Creek and Cement Creek drainages. Motorcycle traffic may be encountered along this route. It is relatively short, only three miles.

Directions from Crested Butte: Brush Creek Access: Travel two miles South on Highway 135, then eight miles east on Brush Creek Road, 738. Travel another two miles east on East Brush Creek Road, 738.2B.

Directions from Crested Butte: Cement Creek Access: Travel seven miles south of Crested Butte on Highway 135 to Cement Creek Road. Turn on to Cement Creek Road and drive 12 miles north.

It was beautiful. There are significant drop offs beside the trail. We encountered a large tree across the trail which required team work to traverse. Good trail.

Brush Creek Road #738 - This road is a popular route for off-road vehicles, including mountain bikes, between Aspen and Crested Butte. The road is extremely technical when it nears Pearl Pass.

Cement Creek Road #740 - This road follows Cement Creek it's entire distance. It is a popular, but remote area for many types of summer and winter recreation opportunities.

East Brush Road #738.2B - East Brush Creek forks from Brush Creek eight and a half miles from Highway 135. It leads to the Brush Creek and Block and Tackle Trailhead.
