The headwaters begin at 11,800 feet in the Elk Mountains at the northern end of Taylor Park flowing south to join the Taylor River near the ghost town of Bowman.The ghost town site of Bowman lies near the junction of Bowman Creek and Taylor Park Road. Bowman Creek is small, three to six feet in width, yet swift. It supports small brook and brown trout. The fishing is rated as fair.
Directions from Taylor Park Road: Travel the Taylor Park Road north to the north end of Taylor Park. Bowman Creek is just before the Taylor Pass four-wheel drive road.
