General Description
Cabin Creek Road leaves Highway 50 at an elevation of 7,838 feet leading north. The road climbs for approximately five and a quarter miles to a fork close to 9,000 feet. The right fork becomes Forest Road 812.2A and connects with Dry Gulch Road. The left fork is Forest Road 743.3A, Cabin Creek Road. If you follow the left fork it splits again within two miles. The right fork leads to Dry Gulch Road and the left fork leads to Lost Canyon Road. The elevation at the junction of Cabin Creek Road and Lost Canyon Road is 9,696 feet. Travel restrictions may be in effect in this area, please check current conditions at the Gunnison ranger office.
