The road is usually passable by two wheel drive vehicles and follows Carbon Creek for the entire distance.
Directions from Gunnison: Travel two miles north on Highway 135 to Ohio Creek Road. Turn right and travel ten miles north on Ohio Creek Road to Carbon Creek Road. Carbon Creek Road leads to the right of Ohio Creek Road.
