Mill Creek enters Ohio Creek eight miles northwest of Gunnison. The creek averages four to six feet in width and supports brook trout and good fishing. A well defined trail, #450, follows the creek to it's headwaters, which lie in the West Elk Wilderness.
Directions from Gunnison: Leave Gunnison and travel four miles north on Highway 135 to Ohio Creek Road. Turn left and follow Ohio Creek Road approximately nine miles to Mill Creek Road, 727. Follow Mill Creek Road four miles to a parking area at the end of the road. Mill Creek Road travels through private property from Ohio Creek Road to the Forest Boundary, but access is allowed.
