Spring Creek Road branches from Taylor River Road and leads to Spring Creek Reservoir
|
Spring Creek Road, Forest Road 744, begins from the Taylor River Road paved. The pavement lasts approximately two miles until the road enters a canyon with steep walls. Here, the road changes to improved dirt. The road follows Spring Creek through the varied terrain carved by the stream over thousands of years. After approximately six and a half miles Manganese Road, Forest Road 744.2B, leads east (right) from Spring Creek Road. In another one and a half miles Spring Creek Road intersects with Deadman Road, Forest Road 741.2I. In another mile Doctor Park Road leads east from Spring Creek Road. The road continues to Spring Creek Reservoir, where boating, fishing and camping opportunities abound. One half mile past the reservoir is a fork. The Spring Creek Road follows the left road. The road gradually ascends going along side hills until you reach a dead end.
Directions from Almont: Travel six miles northeast on the Taylor River Road, Forest Road 742, to Spring Creek Road, Forest Road 744.
