General Description
Steers Gulch Road begins as BLM Road 3113 a few miles west of Gunnison on Highway 50. The road follows Steers Gulch almost to the forest boundary. After entering the forest the road climbs gradually and follows the eastern boundary of the West Elk Wilderness. After passing the junction with West Antelope Road, Steers Road continues about one mile to the wilderness boundary, where it intersects with Beaver Creek Trail. The West Elk Wilderness is closed to all mechanized and motorized vehicles.
Directions from Gunnison: Travel west approximately two miles on Highway 50. Turn north on to BLM Road 3113, which is Steers Gulch Road.
