This alpine lake lies east of Taylor Pass at an elevation of 11,650 feet. It is a 25 surface-acre lake that supports brook trout, although the Forest Service deems fishing at this lake as poor. Easy access to the lake can be gained from Taylor Park or Ashcroft along Taylor Pass Road, Forest Service Road 761, a rough four-wheel drive road. The Collegiate Peaks Wilderness boundary lies immediately north of Taylor Pass Road.
Directions from Taylor Park Road: Take four-wheel drive road #761 for three miles to the lake.
