Beaver Ponds - These beautiful ponds are surrounded with aspen trees and scenic views. The fishing is rated as fair.
Beaver Ponds Trail - This is an easy, half-mile hike that's good to do with children. It winds through aspen forest that are lovely during late September.
Carbon Creek Road #737 - The road is usually passable by two wheel drive vehicles and follows Carbon Creek for the entire distance.
Carbon-Red Mountain Road # 563 - Carbon-Red Mountain Road breaks from Carbon Creek Road on the southeastern flanks of Carbon Peak. The road eventually makes a loop and returns to Carbon Creek Road.
Mill Castle Trail - This trail goes through rugged terrain, but is one of the most scenic trails in the West Elk Wilderness.
Mill Creek - Mill Creek offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the West Elk Wilderness as well as, a well defined trail to it's headwaters.
Pass Creek Trailhead - Pass Creek Trailhead lies on Ohio Creek Road approximately three and a half miles south of Ohio Pass. Swampy Pass Trail, 439, leads westward from the trailhead into the West Elk Wilderness.
