This trail follows the Continental Divide for 10 miles to Marshall Pass. Water is a problem along the trail so it is advisable to pack water with you on this trail. A three-sided Adirondack shelter can be found about six miles into the hike at the junction with the Green Creek Trail #1361. This trail forms a portion of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail and a portion of the Colorado Trail.
Directions from Gunnison: Take Hwy 50 east to Monarch pass. The trail begins behind the Visitor Center and underneath the gondola. Ask the Visitor Center for specific instructions.
