This trail is a spur off of the Fossil Ridge Trail #478 about a half mile form Gold Creek campground trailhead. This lake would be an easy day hike for most people.
Directions from Gunnison: Take Hwy 50 east to Parlin. Turn left at Parlin and go about eight miles to Ohio City. Turn left in Ohio City towards Comanche and Gold Creek Campground. The trailhead is located across the main road from the Gold Creek Campground.
