General Description

The Bear Lake Picnic Ground is located in the Bear River area, 14 miles southwest of Yampa. The picnic area sits in a scenic spot, on the east end of Yampa Reservoir, adjacent to Bear Lake Campground.

Facilities:

The picnic ground has 6 sites, with picnic tables, fire grates, trash collection, and a restroom. Drinking water is available at the campground.

Directions from Yampa: Travel S/SW on Routt County Rd #7 approximately 7 miles to FDR 900. Travel another 7 miles on FDR 900 to Bear Lake Picnic Ground, on the left side of the road.

Seasonal Information:
Normal Services Available: June through Mid-November (NOTE: Seasons may vary depending on weather and snow depth. No drinking water availableat the picnic ground. Trash service may be limited after October 1.) .
