The Silver Creek Trail traverses the south end of the Sarvice Creek Wilderness from east to west. It can be accessed from either the west or east end of the trail. This trail provides excellent primitive hiking opportunities. Use increases during the big game hunting season. The Sarvice Creek Trail can be used with the Silver Creek Trail as a loop system.The Silver Creek Trail can be accessed from either the Lynx Pass Road (County Road 16/Forest Road 270) south of Stagecoach Reservoir; or from Forest Road 100, between Rabbit Ears Pass and Hwy. 134. LEAVE NO TRACE As humans, we must minimize our impacts to help preserve this resource for present and future generations.
Directions from Yampa: West trailhead (County Road 16): Follow State Hwy 131, 8 miles north to County Road 14. Go east on 14, 3.2 miles to County Road 16. Go south on 16, 7 miles to the trailhead. The trail begins on private land. Please respect property owners rights.
Directions from Yampa: East trailhead (Buffalo Park): Follow State Hwy 131, 9.3 miles south to State Hwy 134. Follow 134 east 11 miles to Forest Road 250. Follow 250 north, 9 miles to Forest Road 100. Follow 100 north, 4 miles to trailhead.
