General Description

Dry Lake Campground is located 8 miles northeast of Steamboat Springs on the Buffalo Pass Road, at an elevation of 8,000 feet. This small campground is in a good area to access some great hiking and biking, and is within a reasonable driving distance of the commercially operated Strawberry Park Hot Springs.

Facilities:

Dry Lake has 8 campsites with tables and fireplace grates. Vault toilets and drinking water (seasonal) are available. Trailer spaces are available with a maximum length of 16 feet. Drinking water and trash service normally end after Labor Day. A reduction in fees will usually accompany a reduction in services.

Directions from Steamboat Springs: Travel 4 miles north of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road #36 (Strawberry Park Rd), then 3.6 miles east on Routt County Road #38 (Buffalo Pass Rd). The campground is located to the north of the road.

Limited Services: Labor Day Weekend through Mid-October (NOTE: Actual opening and closing dates will be contingent on the weather.) . Normal Services Available: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend (NOTE: Services limited after Labor Day (no water, trash) and fee reduced.) .
