General Description

Ferndale Picnic Ground is located about 11 miles southeast of Steamboat Springs along US HWY. 40. It sits on the east side of Rabbit Ears Pass at an elevation of 8,000 feet. The picnic area has 9 sites. There is a toilet but no other services. There is no drinking water.

Directions from Steamboat Springs, CO: Travel 11 miles southeast of Steamboat Springs on US Highway 40. The picnic area is west of the west summit of Rabbit Ears Pass.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: Late May through Late September (NOTE: normal services are limited: no water or trash service) .
