Hahns Peak Lake Campground is located 32 miles north of Steamboat Springs at Hahns Peak Lake, at an elevation of 8,500 feet. 15 of the 25 sites are reservable. Reservations are encouraged, especially on busy summer holidays, but not necessary. This is one of the most popular campgrounds in the area due to its wilderness-like quality. Attractions in the area are hiking, fishing, and boating. Boating on Hahns Peak Lake is restricted to using electric motors or manual power only. A boat ramp is available. Hiking and mountain biking on the numerous nearby roads and trails is a rewarding experience. Bring your camera. Facilities: There are 25 campsites (10 sites first-come first-serve, and 15 reservable) with tables and fireplace grates, a water system (seasonal), vault toilets, dumpsters, and pull-thru trailer spaces up to 40 feet. Water and trash services normally terminate around September 30.
