Stormking Campground is on the Middle Fork of Carnero Creek 10 miles northwest of La Garita and can be accessed via Monte Vista or Saguache. There are 11 campsites with tables, fireplaces, vault toilets and developed drinking water provided through hand pumps. Firewood is limited and no refuse receptacles are provided. 4 WD Forest Roads 685 and 684 are nearby.
Directions from Saguache, Colorado: Take Colorado Highway 114 14.5 miles west to a gravel road going south at Hodding Creek. Follow Forest Road 690 up House Log Creek and over Carnero Pass. The campground is 14 miles from Highway 114 by this route.
Directions from Monte Vista, Colorado: From U.S. Highway 285, take the La Garita turnoff (County Road 41G) and follow the paved road 6.0 miles west. Where the road forks, take the graveled Carnero Creek Road 14.5 miles northwest to the campground.
