From Alamosa, go north 1.5 miles on Forest Service Road # 950 to the campground entrance. North Crestone Campground is in the narrow valley of North Crestone Creek at the base of Sangre de Cristo Range. There is fishing in North Crestone Creek and hiking on North Crestone Creek Trail (Forest Trail 744). There are 13 campsites with tables and fireplaces, vault type toilets and developed drinking water with hand pumps.
Directions from Alamosa, Colorado: Travel north 37.0 miles on Colorado Highway 17 to Moffat, then 12.0 miles east to Crestone. Then, go north 1.5 miles on Forest Service Road # 950 to the campground entrance.
Directions from Crestone, Colorado: Travel 1.5 miles north on Forest Road # 950 to campground entrance.
