General Description

This trail is located west of Redfeather Lakes. This is a good day hiking trail. It leaves the Deadman Road and follows North Lone Pine Creek to the Bald Mountain Jeep Trail near Middle Bald Mountain. Lodgepole pine gives way to spruce and fir as the elevation increases. Views of the Red Feather Lakes are available at the upper end of the trail.

Directions from Fort Collins: Travel 20 miles north on Highway 287 to Livermore; go 28 miles west on County Road 74E (Red Feather Lakes Road) and County Road 162 (Manhattan Road) to the North Lone Pine Trailhead.
