The North Fork and Stormy Peaks Trails lead from Pingree Park, across the northeast corner of Rocky Mountain National Park, to the North Fork of the Big Thompson River. This trail offers the opportunity to travel into Rocky Mountain National Park via Stormy Peaks Pass. The 11,262 foot summit of Signal Mountain is also accessible. Also offers the opportunity to travel into Rocky Mountain National park via Stormy Peaks Pass.
Make sure when planning a trip into Rocky Mountain National Park that you first check with Park Headquarters for camping, fishing, and fire regulations.
Directions from Fort Collins: Take Highway 14 west about 30 miles to the Pingree Park Road (County Road 63E). Take the Pingree Park Road south. Follow this road about 15 miles to the Stormy Peaks Trailhead, near Pingree Park.
Directions from Estes Park: Travel east on Devils Gulch road about 10 miles. Abut 2 miles past Glen Haven. Take the road marked Dunraven Glade Road. Follow this road north 3 miles at which point you will come upon large public parking lot equipped with a stock loading ramp and corral.
Directions from Loveland: Take Hwy 34 west. At Drake take the Glen Haven road for 6 miles. At the Dunraven Glade Road proceed as per above instructions.
