Chambers Lake Campground
|
Chambers Lake Campground sits adjacent to Chambers Lake, 60 miles west of Fort Collins, at an elevation of 9,200 feet. Nearby recreation activities include boating in Chambers Lake (motors up to 10 hp, no wake), fishing, and hiking. Facilities: Chambers Lake has 45 campsites. The campground has drinking water, toilets, fire grates (limited wood available), picnic tables, and trash service. There is a boat ramp, but the water level varies so check before bringing a boat. Chambers Lake has handicapped accessible campsites and facilities.
Directions from Fort Collins: Travel northwest on Highway 14 approximately 62 miles to the site.

Report: caught 6 very nice size trout and 1 norhtern pike in my overnite stay. Stayed in a pop-up truck camper.
Conditions: nice sunny Sept. 1st day. Very nice clean campground. Nice scenery. I will visit more.
Water Availability: clean toylets & water. Did not get to talk to the hosts, out fishing!!!
