General Description

The Meadows Trail is located west of Fort Collins, near Cameron Pass. This trail provides a ski connection between Zimmerman Lake and the Long Draw Ski Trail. Follow the Zimmerman Lake trail northeast around the lake until it comes to a junction (marked with a wooden trial sign) indicating the beginning of the Meadows trail. The Meadows trail winds through dense forest interspersed with long connecting meadows and offers vistas of the Rawah Wilderness peaks. The trial is fairly narrow with some short, steep grades. After exiting the Neota Wilderness, The trail intersects with the Long Draw Ski Trail. Since the Zimmerman and Long Draw parking areas are 4.5 miles apart, a vehicle shuttle is necessary unless the skier plans to ski the same route back to the start.

Directions from Fort Collins: Travel about 65 miles west on Highway 14 to the Zimmerman Lake parking lot, near Cameron Pass.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Accessible: Winter through Spring (NOTE: Seasons vary depending on snow conditions.) .
