General Description

Willow Creek campground is located north of Granby in the Arapaho National Recreation Area. It sits adjacent to Willow Creek Reservoir at an elevation of 8,130 feet. Willow Creek has a small boat launch and offers fishing access. Compared to some other campgrounds in the Recreation Area, Willow Creek is relatively quiet and isolated.

Facilities:
There are 35 campsites. Facilities include vault toilets fire grates, picnic tables and drinking water. There is a launching area for small boats.

Directions from Granby: Travel west on Highway 40 approximately 2 miles to Highway 34. Travel east on Highway 34 approximately 8 miles to Forest Road 125 (County Road 6). Travel west on Forest Road 125 approximately 3 miles to the site.

Be careful!! Conditions: Bugs are EVERYWHERE!!!! Not too much shade, get there early to get the good sites. Prices are more expensive than listed on the web site, you also have to pay a day use fee that is not mentioned on the web site. Sort of a spendy place considering you're a ways from the water and the terrible bugs. Water Availability: Water levels are way down and the beaches are mucky! Time of Day: 11:21pm Length of Time: 10 min Difficulty: Easy Number of People Encountered: 25-50 ppl Recommend to a Friend: Highly Report: clean campsites, newly remodeled, very friendly hosts, some mosquitos, great place will visit again soon!! close to granby,grand lake and Rocky Mtn National Park for hiking or last minute items. close to fishing and never summer ranch hike.
