General Description

Stillwater Campground is located north of Granby in the Arapaho National Recreation Area. It sits on the northwest side of Lake Granby at an elevation of 8,300 feet. The campground sits adjacent to Lake Granby, with fishing and boating access. It offers spectacular views of the Indian Peaks.

Facilities:
This is a large campground offering multiple services and facilities. There are 127 campsites. Facilities include showers, modern toilets, electrical and water hookups, running water, fire grates, picnic tables, a boat launching ramp and an amphitheater.

Directions from Granby: Follow Hwy 40 west to Hwy 34. Go north on Hwy 34 to the campground on the northwest end of Lake Granby.

We stayed from 6/25 through 6/27 of 2004. Went up with sisters and their families and had a blast. The hosts were great and the fishing even better. The camp sites are spaced well and showers are within walking distance to almost all of the sites. The bathrooms were kept extremely clean and are the real deal... no outhouses! YEAH! The showers have real hot water and are free for guest use. The people in our group ranged from 18 months to 40+ and the terrain was well maintained. Everyone had a great time and we would actually like to go back up next month. Only advice.... BRING your own fire wood and lots of it... Pricey if you have to buy it up there. Conditions: We about froze our tails off the first night as we have had some unusually wet weather in Colorado this year. But no complaints we needed the rain and gave us all an excuse to use body heat in the tents and to visit with our kids. The rain was always short lived. Water Availability: We brought 10 gallons of water and that was enough. But there is water available on site at each of the restrooms and parking areas... It was good water, cool and crisp
