Sailing, fishing and water-skiing are popular on this lake but it is very shallow. Most shallow areas and channels are marked with buoys. Canoeing is especially recommended on this lake. Pine Beach Picnic Ground has good canoe access. Green Ridge is a developed campground located at the south end of the lake. Commercial facilities include boat rentals, fuel, mooring slips and ties. Groceries and food are available at several marinas, and cafes are located off Highway 34 on the lake's western shore.

CANAL BOAT RAMP
Located on the south end of the lake, near Green Ridge Campground. It is close to the islands on the lake where there is picnicking and good canoeing.

Facilities:
This gravel boat ramp has no fee. It has flush toilets, a fish cleaning station and a sanitary dump station.

HILLTOP BOAT RAMP
This boat ramp is located at the north end of Shadow Mountain Lake, near the canal leading to Grand Lake.

Facilities: This gravel boat ramp has no fee and is suitable for small boats only. There are vault toilets but no drinking water.

Directions from Granby: Go west on Highway 40 to Highway 34. Travel north on 34 past Lake Granby to Shadow Mountain Lake.
