Colorado Trail (Halfmoon to Twin Lakes) - This segment of the Colorado Trail begins in the Halfmoon Drainage and continues for approximately 6 miles to the Lakeview Campground above Twin Lakes.
Colorado Trail (Twin Lakes to Clear Creek Rd.) - This segment of the Colorado Trail leads from Twin Lakes Reservoir to Clear Creek Road. It is a popular segment that is used by many runners training for the long-distance foot race the Leadville 100.
Dexter Campground - There are five Forest Service Campgrounds in the Twin Lakes area: Dexter, Lakeview, Parry Peak, Twin Peaks and White Star. Dexter Campground has 24 sites that are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
Dexter Point Boat Launch - On the shores of Twin Lakes Reservoir are two paved boat ramps. Dexter Point Boat Ramp is located on the northeastern shore of the lake.
Mt. Elbert - Mt. Elbert at 14,433 ft elevation is the highest point in Colorado. It is the second highest mountain in the lower 48 states.
Parry Peak Campground - Perry Peak Campground is located west of Twin Lakes Reservoir on Highway 82. Many recreation opportunities are accessible from this campground including fishing, canoeing, hiking, motorcycle riding, four-wheel driving and mountain biking.
Red Rooster Angler Parking - Red Rooster Fishing Site is located on the southwestern shore of Twin Lakes Reservoir. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and visitors will find fair to good fishing.
Red Rooster Boat Launch - On the shores of Twin Lakes Reservoir are two paved boat ramps. Red Rooster Boat Ramp is located on the northwestern shore of the lake.
Twin Peaks Campground - There are five Forest Service Campgrounds in the Twin Lakes area: Dexter, Lakeview, Parry Peak, Twin Peaks and White Star. Thirty-nine sites are available at Twin Peaks Campground on a first come, first serve basis,
Whitestar Campground - Whitestar Family Campground is one of five campgrounds surrounding Twin Lakes Reservoir. Reservation status of the 68 campsites at Whitestar vary between first come, first serve and reservations accepted.
