Shirley Site is located approximately 7.5 miles southwest of Poncha Springs, Colorado. It provides parking for approximately 20 vehicles. It has one vault toilet and a 3-panel information board. None of the facilities are accessible for wheelchairs. The nearest public telephone, fire and emergency services are located in Poncha Springs. The Shirley site serves as a parking area for visitors traveling to O'Haver Lake and nearby trails and fishing access points on Poncha Creek. It is also used extensively for snowmobile and cross-country skiing access during the winter months.
Directions from Poncha Springs: Drive south approximately 5 miles on Highway 285 to County Road 200. Turn west on 200 and travel 2.3 miles to the trailhead. This site is located at the junction of County Road 200 and County Road 202.
