General Description
North Fork Reservoir is located 16 miles northwest of Poncha Springs on County Road 240. The lake is immediately west of North Fork Campground and is the main attraction of the site. Other recreation opportunities in the area are four-wheel driving, hiking and mountain biking. The elevation of the site is 11,000'.
Directions from Poncha Springs: Travel 6 miles west on Highway 50; and then drive north 10 miles on County Road 240 to the reservoir. County Road 240 is not recommended for large RVs or trailers.

Colorado Trail (Chalk Creek to Highway 50) - Segment 14 of the Colorado Trail extends 20 miles south from Chalk Creek Road to Highway 50 west of Maysville. This portion of the trail is open to foot, horse and bike traffic.
North Fork Reservoir Campground - At 11,000' this campground is the highest in the area. Many recreation opportunities are accessible from this site with fishing as the star attraction.
