Browns Pass Trail
Browns Pass Trail leaves Denny Creek Trailhead and leads north into the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness. The trail begins at 9,920' and culminates at 12,420' on Browns Pass. (The trail continues into the Texas Creek Valley on the northern side of Browns Pass, which is in the Gunnison National Forest.) The distance to the pass is 4.25 miles from Denny Creek Trailhead. The area is beautiful, although, the first 1.5 miles are heavily used by hikers seeking the summit of Mt. Yale. The view from Browns Pass can't be beat and is well worth the trek.
