General Description

Lake Creek Campground is located approximately 14 miles northwest of the town
of Westcliffe, CO. It is reached by taking State Highway 69 north from
Westcliffe for approximately 11 miles to County Road 198, then west on County
Road 198 for 3 miles to Lake Creek Campground.

This campground consists of 11 individual family campsites. Each campsite
includes a table, fire ring and a parking spur. Drinking water is provided by a
single well and hand pump. Sanitation facilities consist of one single-unit and
two double-unit toilets. Trash collection is provided by contractor-furnished
dumpsters. The roads and parking spurs are aggregate surfaced. The facilities
in this campground are in from fair to good condition. Lake Creek has an
average use rate 34% during the normal operating season.

Nearby attractions include stream and lake fishing, hiking, bike riding,
horseback riding and motorized riding trails.

Directions from Westcliffe, CO: Take Rte 69 north for 12.5 mi. Left onto Rte 198 for 3 mi. to campground.

Report: Greeeeeaaaat!!!! place for those who what a rolling stream and Quite. Backed the Motorhome in and relaxed.
Conditions: The hosts kept the site very nice

Report: An absolutely wonderful spot, if you don't mind roughing it. The stream that flows through is beautiful and very cold! The camp hosts were great! Very clean and quiet! We were there in early August
