General Description

The Halfway Picnic Ground is located 9 miles up the Pikes Peak Highway. The facility stands at 10,000'. The facilities include 22 picnic sites, restrooms and drinking water. The Pikes Peak Highway provides access to hiking, mountain biking, scenic driving and fishing.

Directions from Colorado Springs: Drive 10 miles west on Highway 24 to the Pikes Peak Toll Road. Pass through the toll gate and travel approximately 9 miles to the picnic area.

Normally Open: May through October .
