The Pike Community Group Campground is located 5.3 miles north of Woodland Park on Colorado Highway 67. This is an all-weather road so it is accessible for all types of vehicles. This area is developed for group camping but may be reserved for day use at the overnight use rate. Outside attractions are not a special feature of this area. Most activities are centered around the facilities found on the site. The Centennial Trail is located across Hwy. 67 and can be used to access Manitou Lake Picnic area.The campground has a capacity of 150 people. The facilities include eating and serving picnic tables, group fire grates for cooking, drinking water, campfire circle, trash dumpsters, vault type toilets, children's play area, sand volleyball court, softball field, and horseshoe pits. Firewood and a shelter are not provided. There is an RV dump station located just outside this campground. Reservations are required; reserved through the ROCKY MOUNTAIN RECREATION COMPANY National Reservation System. Call 1-800-416-6992 to make a reservation. A $30.00 nonrefundable reservation fee will be charged. Reservations can be made up to 360 days of your first night of arrival, or as late as 5 days prior to your arrival. During the summer, the site receives heavy use on the weekends and holidays. For this reason, reservations should be made as early as possible to reserve the dates you desire. Fees charged at Pike Community will be a $4.00 per vehicle day-use fee or a $9.00 per night per vehicle fee when camping.
Directions from Colorado Springs: Drive 18 miles west on Highway 24 to Woodland Park. Turn north on Highway 67 for 7 miles to the campground.
