Bear Creek Trail is part of a network of trails in Cheyenne Canyon a drainage that flows into the southwestern part of Colorado Springs. The trail is open to foot, horse and mountain bike traffic. It follows Bear Creek Canyon 2 miles to the intersection of Jones Park Trail. Jones Park Trail takes over and continues following the Creek to its end.
Directions from Gold Camp Road: Take 26th Street southwest from Highway 24 in Old Colorado City. Follow it to the hairpin turn/intersection with the High Drive. Park your car at the turn and walk up the High Drive approximately 1 mile to the Bear Creek Traihead.
Directions from High Drive: Where Cheyenne Boulevard splits in North Cheyenne Canyon Park take the left fork. This is the High Drive, Forest Road 380. Follow it approximately 2 miles to the Bear Creek Trailhead on the western side of the road.
