General Description

Promontory Picnic Ground has 34 picnic units. The elevation of the site is 9100 feet. The picnic season begins in early May and continues into October. Overnight use of the picnic grounds is not permitted.
Promontory Picnic Ground has tables, vault toilets, fire grates, and garbage collection and drinking water.

Directions from Colorado Springs: Drive 18 miles west on Highway 24 to Woodland Park. Turn right on County Road 22 and travel approximately 3 miles to Rampart Range Road (Forest Road 300). Drive south on Rampart Range Road for 5 miles until you reach Forest Road 306. Drive 2 miles to Promonotory Picnic Ground.

Normal Services Available: April through December (NOTE: Opening and closing dates may change depending on weather conditions. Promonotory Picnic Ground has tables, vault toilets, firegrates, and garbage collection and drinking water.) .
