This campground consists of four individual family campsites. The campsites each include a table, fire grate and parking spur. Drinking water, garbage collection and vault toilets are available for use on site. The nearest public telephone is located in Lake George, about nine miles from the campground. The nearest fire and emergency services are also located in Lake George.

Cove Campground is located on the South Platte River within 21 miles of
Elevenmile State Recreation Area and Reservoir and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Recreation opportunities include: fishing (on the River's Gold Medal Waters) and the reservoir; hiking, biking, horseback riding, motorcycling and four-wheel driving.

Directions from Lake George: Cove Campground is located approximately 9 miles southwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. Visitors may reach this campground by taking County Road 96 south from Lake George to Elevenmile Canyon.
