Twenty-four sites at Spillway Campground provide access to hiking and fishing

Spillway Campground is located approximately ten miles southwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. Visitors may reach this campground by driving south on County Road 96 from Lake George to the dam spillway Elevenmile Canyon.This campground consists of 24 individual family campsites. Each campsite includes a table, fire grate and parking spur. Drinking water, garbage collection and vault toilets are provided on site. The nearest public telephone is located in Lake George, about ten miles from the campground. The nearest fire and emergency services are also located in Lake George. The campground is located on the South Platte River within 21 miles of Elevenmile State Recreation Area and Reservoir and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Recreation opportunities include: fishing (on the River's Gold Medal Waters) and the Reservoir; hiking, biking, horseback riding, motorcycling and four-wheel driving.
