Round Mountain Campground is located approximately four miles northwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. Visitors may reach this campground by taking Highway 24, four miles northwest from Lake George. This campground consists of 17 individual family campsites. The campsites each include a table, fire grate and parking spur. Drinking water, garbage collection and vault toilets are provided on site. The nearest public telephone is located in Lake George, about four miles from the campground. The nearest fire and emergency services are also located in Lake George. Recreation sites located nearby include Elevenmile State Recreation Area and Reservoir; Tarryall State Wildlife Area and Reservoir; and Florissant Fossil Beds. Round Mountain Campground provides immediate access to fishing in Tarryall Creek or the South Platte River. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, motorcycling and four-wheel driving trails are located close to this site.
