This campground consists of seven individual family campsites. The campsites each include a table, fire grate and parking spur. The nearest public telephone is located in Lake George, about three miles from the campground. The nearest fire and emergency services are also located in Lake George.

Located on the South Platte River and within ten miles of Elevenmile State
Recreation Area and Reservoir and Florissant Fossil Beds National
Monument, this site offers: fishing on the River and the Reservoir; hiking,
bicycling, horseback riding and motorcycling trails; and four-wheel driving opportunities.

Directions from Lake George: Happy Meadows Campground is located approximately 3 miles northwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. Visitors may reach this campground by taking Highway 24 northwest from Lake George for 1 mile to County Road 77. Travel approximately 1 mile and turn east on County Road 112 and the campground is located approximately 1 mile east on this road.
