Twin Eagles Trailhead is located approximately 15 miles northwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. Visitors may reach the trailhead by taking Highway 24 northwest out of Lake George for 1 mile to County Road 77. Travel approximately 12 miles through Tarryall City to the site on the east side of the road, two miles beyond Spruce Grove Campground. The Twin Eagles Picnic Ground and Trailhead is adjacent to the Lost Creek Wilderness and serves as wilderness access. The parking area can hold up to 30 cars and is used by both hikers and anglers. The trailhead provides immediate access to the Brookside McCurdy Trail. Once inside the wilderness boundary, the trail intersects with Lizard Rock Trail, Hankins Pass Trail and Lake Park Trail. This site makes a good starting point for backpacking or horseback riding trips.
