Report: I have been to Jefferson Lake on several occasions and the road in is still as washboard as ever, but the end result has always been rewarding. This was our first time to stay at Jefferson Campground and it by far is better of the other 2. They have updated the vault toilets but the water is still by pump only. The Campsights are spaced nicely and layed out so you are not eating with your neighbor. At night be preparred to see more stars that you can imagine. A reminder to the motorhome users, quite times have changed to 8:00 AM from 6:00
Conditions: All the sights have shade. There is always an occasional storm that blows in around 4:00 PM or so but blows out quickly. The road up to the lake is paved but steep. The fishing has always been good but you have to find the right hole if your fishing from bank. Have not fished by boat.

Report: A long wash board road to the campground, but enough to do. There are really nice spots for cookouts along Jefferson Lake, which yeilded so many fish it almost wasn't fun! Hehe
Conditions: I always see a lot of weather when I can in this area- intense lightening (A bit frightening but fun) and rain in the summer. Some big RV's can ruin the quiet, but at least they abided the 10pm rule. A trail goes through this campground, expect bicycles.
Water Availability: The well was fine.

Report: Nice place to camp. But you need to be aware of bears, it is bear country. The fishing in Jeferson Lake was not so good. We did not catch a thing. But the camping was great.

Report: good campground. Sites are far enough apart to have some privacy. 1 straight road into campground with sites on each side of road insures each site backs up to forest. No loops to surround you. Good fishing in beaver ponds or Jefferson Lake one mile away. Good hiking trails.
