General Description

Meadows Group Campground consists of two available camping areas. Camping areas are equipped with several tables, fire rings, and large parking areas. Each camping area can accommodate 150 people. Drinking water is provided by a gravity-fed water system. One vault toilet provides sanitation in each area. The nearest public telephone, fire and emergency services are located in the town of Buffalo Creek.

The Buffalo Creek area is popular and heavily used because of it's attractiveness and closeness to the Denver metro area. The Buffalo Creek
mountain bike area offers cyclists 30+ miles of trail riding. The Colorado
trail runs through the area and allows hikers access to the trail in several
locations. The Buffalo Fire of 1996 closed several trails and roads in the
area.

Directions from Buffalo Creek: Meadows Group Campground is located approximately seven miles southwest of the small town of Buffalo Creek. To reach the campground from Buffalo Creek take State Highway 126 approximately 3 miles south to the intersection of FDR 550. Turn right onto FDR 550 and go 6 miles.
