Number of People Encountered: 25-50 ppl Recommend to a Friend: Not Recommended Report: Campsites are rather close together, and rules are not readily enforced. Was up until 4 am with VERY disrespectful and drunk campers. Scenery is good, but fishing at the site does not appear to be. Need to go along the Gill trail or elsewhere to fish. Not a really good place for anything other than tents. Site 7 is very shady and large. Conditions: Due to the Hayman fires, the river is quite muddy and sooty. Local sheriff indicated that up to 90% of the fish have died. My husband went a way up the Gill trail and still caught a very nice rainbow and a couple of brown trout. Can see alot of fire damage on the way from Denver, but no noticeable damage other than the river at the campsite. Water Availability: Water availability was good.
