The Devil's Head Campground consist of 21 individual family campsites. The campsites each include a table, fire ring and parking spur. Campground facilities include drinking water two vault toilets. The nearest public telephone is located at the entrance to the Rampart Range Road, eight and a half miles north on the Rampart Range Road. The nearest fire and emergency services are located five miles to the east of the intersection of Rampart Range Road and Highway 67 at west Douglas Fire Station No. 1. Devils Head fire lookout trailhead is located in the picnic ground adjacent to the campground. The trail to the lookout attracts approximately 20,000 visitors a year. The predominate recreational activity on the Rampart is off-highway vehicle use. There are several trailheads, one leading out of the campground which provide access to over 100 miles of motorized trails. Other activities include hiking, bicycling, rock and mineral hounding, hunting, fishing, horse back riding, photography and rock climbing.
Directions from Sedalia: Devils Head Campground can be reached by traveling approximately ten miles west of Sedalia on Highway 67 to the Rampart Range Road. Turn left (south) on the Rampart Range Road for approximately eight and one-half miles to the campground.
