This campground consist of 20 individual family campsites. The campsites each include a table, fire ring and parking spur. Drinking water, and vault toilets, is provided on site. The nearest public telephone is located at the entrance to the Rampart Range Road, five miles north on the Rampart Range Road. There is a help line located 1 mile to the south at Rim Road intersection. The nearest fire and emergency services are located five miles to the east of the intersection of Rampart Range road and Highway 67 at west Douglas Fire Station No. 1. The predominate recreational activity on the Rampart is off-highway vehicle use. There are several trailheads, one leading out of the campground which provide access to over 100 miles of motorized trails. Other activities include hiking, bicycling, rock and mineral hounding, hunting, fishing, horse back riding, photography, and rock climbing.
Directions from Sedalia: Flat Rocks Campground can be reached by traveling approximately ten miles west of Sedalia on Highway 67 to the Rampart Range road. Turn left (south) on the Rampart Range road for approximately five miles to the campground.
