General Description

Reservations can be obtained through the Reservation Center for the following sites:

House Creek Group Picnic Ground
House Creek Group Campground
Loop "B" sites in House Creek Family Campground

This area offers a four-lane concrete boat ramp, a boat dock, parking lot, picnic area, camping for trailers, RV's and tents, toilets and drinking water for your convenience. Fishing, walking, mountain bike riding and all kinds of boating activities are possible here. The maximum length of spurs is 50 feet.

Directions from Dolores, Colorado: Travel north at 11th street on Dolores-Norwood Road (Forest Road 526) for 6 miles. Then go southeast for 5.4 miles on House Creek Road (Forest Road 528).

Normal Services Available: Late March through Fall .



Current Conditions & Trip Reports
Area open. From Dolores, turn north on 11th Street which turns into the Dolores-Norwood Road. Follow signs to House Creek turn-off. Access is paved road up to and in the facility. This facility includes sanitary dumping station, group picnic area, a four-lane boat ramp and is adjacent to the House Creek Campground. Updated: 2004-07-14 11:58:00.0

Dolores Fishing Site - Dolores Fishing Site provides the closest access to McPhee Reservoir from Dolores. There is a small graveled 20 car parking area, a small boat input and a toilet located here.

House Creek Boat Launch - Four-lane concrete boat ramp, one courtesy boat dock, parking lot, and composting toilets.

House Creek Campground - The complex has open play areas, a sanitary dumping station, a four-lane boat ramp, and parking area.

House Creek Group Picnic Ground - Reservations are required through the Reservation Center for the House Creek Group Picnic Ground.
