This trail is not marked. Follow the road 1/4 mile beyond Old Timers Campground, then follow the edge of the timber near the high water mark on Vallecito Reservoir to Pine Point Campground (approximately 2.5 miles). Then return on the road or retrace your route. The terrain is generally level with minor up and down grades. It is a good area for beginning skiers.
Directions from Bayfield, Colorado: Take County Road 501 north for 14 miles to Vallecito Dam. Cross the dam; skiing begins at this eastern point.

Vallecito Area (Middle Mountain) Snowmobiling Area - This trail follows Forest Road 724 to the top of Middle Mountain, about 11 miles, climbing 10,800 feet. Near the top of Middle Mountain there are numerous points to stop and view surrounding high mountain peaks.
